About Nancay Radio Telescope

A vast Kraus-type antenna in the Loire valley, its tilting flat reflector spanning about 200 m. Tracked early Soviet and American lunar probes in the 1960s. Still monitors pulsars, rotating radio transients, and molecular gas. Almost invisible from the air as the mesh merges with wheat fields.
