About Large Binocular Telescope

Two 8.4 m mirrors mounted side by side on Mount Graham at 3,221 m. When combined, the light of both mirrors yields the resolving power of a much larger single aperture. Among the most powerful optical telescopes in the world. First light for the second mirror came in 2006.
