One of the largest and most sensitive millimeter-wave dishes in the world. Located on Pico Veleta at 2,850 m in the Sierra Nevada of southern Spain. Pioneered spectral-line surveys of the interstellar medium. IRAM also operates the NOEMA interferometer in the French Alps.
